What a difference eight weeks make! Swindon Town channel spirit of Ian Holloway in last-ditch comeback against Tranmere

Be it through motivation, a sheer sense of will, or in consultation with the witchdoctors of west Wiltshire, Holloway has taken a group of down-on-their-luck and almost out-on-their-arse players and summoned a sleeping spirit inside them.

Eight weeks. It’s only been eight weeks. The change on the pitch at Swindon Town, in such a short period of time, has been as staggering as it has been profound.

Be it through motivation, a sheer sense of will, or in consultation with the witchdoctors of west Wiltshire, Ian Holloway has taken a group of down-on-their-luck and almost out-on-their-arse players and summoned a sleeping spirit inside them.

Let’s not forget, this is pretty much the same group of players who looked so forlorn and lost for the better part of four months earlier this season. This is the same group of players who contrived to lose at home to the two teams detached at the foot of League Two.
