After consecutive 3-1 home victories over Port Vale and Colchester United, Swindon have scored just once in their last four matches in all competitions, drawing a blank against York City, Salford City and Newport County.

Ian Holloway believes the negativity generated during that collapse has followed Swindon into the new campaign and is now being placed on the shoulders of players who were not responsible for creating it.

While the forward did not suffer a dislocation and there is no bone break, he sustained ligament damage and has not featured for the Robins since. Unfortunately for the teenager, the issue has not cleared up in time for him to link up with the Kenyan national side.

The midfielder did not feature either at Salford City last weekend or in the EFL Trophy loss at home against Newport County on Tuesday, and on Thursday, manager Ian Holloway confirmed that the player requires specialist assessment to determine the full extent of the damage.

ANALYSIS: Unfortunately, put consecutively, the results and elements of the performances have compounded the sense of despondency around the County Ground. A sense of despondency which never truly dissipated after the limp tail end of last season.

Inwood has received a call-up to the squad for the upcoming international window, meaning Ian Holloway will be without the defender during a period in which Town's options at the back are already stretched.
