Trust STFC’s new ticket bank project has received excellent support from the Swindon Town fanbase.

The idea, which allows supporters to buy tickets on behalf of those who are facing difficult financial times, is getting its first run-out for the visit of Accrington Stanley to the County Ground this weekend.

Applications were open until Saturday (April 11) and the service proved popular, with more requests than available tickets.

In order to ensure no one misses out, The Moonraker has pledged to cover the full cost of the deficit, enabling the Trust to buy tickets for everyone who has been nominated.

Founder Sam Morshead said: "The Moonraker always seeks to reinvest a slice of its revenue into positive community projects, and the ticket bank is certainly a worthy cause.

"Donations like this would not be possible without the loyalty, support and faith of Moonraker members, who continue to give the site tremendous backing. Thank you."

The Trust is set to explore extending the initiative, and other adjacent programmes which will help the community access Swindon matches, during the 2026/27 season.

In addition to the ticket bank, Town have opened the Stratton Bank for the game against Accrington, with cut-price entry on offer.

Adults cost just £10 and under-18s £5, with initially just the upper rows of block S1 – the block closest to the Arkell’s Stand – open to home fans.

The stand had already been due to open for participants in a Prospect Hospice charity walk in aid of men’s mental health support, which is due to finish at the stadium ahead of kick-off.
