Swindon Town are closing in a new signing, with the deal expected to be done ahead of the weekend trip to Oldham Athletic.

The Moonraker revealed earlier this week that the Robins are targeting a utility forward and a midfielder as they look to fill the gaps in their squad created by injuries to Fletcher Holman and Gavin Kilkenny.

And it appears that 50 per cent of the jigsaw is not too far from being completed.

The Moonraker understands Town are hoping to finalise a move for a midfielder in the next 24 hours.
