Our small corner of Wiltshire may have been gripped by the Great Bovril Shortage of 2025, but there was no lack of beefiness on the pitch at the County Ground as Swindon Town shoulder-barged and slide-tackled their way past Barrow.

Against a visiting side which promised little, and somehow ended up offering less, Swindon produced 90 minutes of hard, old-fashioned graft. A ‘football pre-Pep’ display. A get-things-done sort of display.
