It was in late 2020 when Nnamdi Ofoborh’s world began to turn upside down.

Ofoborh was training with Bournemouth when he suddenly became short of breath, for no apparent reason. His heartbeat accelerated. He felt light-headed.

These symptoms lasted for no more than 30 seconds but set in motion a chain of events which would see Ofoborh shuttled between cardiologist and cardiologist in an attempt to diagnose why he was prone to such episodes, eventual surgery, and the long road back to first-team football.
