4,916 days later: Inside the story of Billy Bodin's return to Swindon Town

Thirteen years, five months and 16 days later, Billy Bodin wore Swindon Town red once again.

It was March 10, 2012 when Bodin last turned out for the Robins. He was substituted by Paolo Di Canio 50 minutes into a 1-0 defeat at Cheltenham, and was unceremoniously packed out on loan to Crewe Alexandra the following week.

In the time since, he has built an impressive career across the EFL – at Torquay United, Preston North End, Bristol Rovers and Oxford United. Now, he is back in Wiltshire, back at the family home, playing for the club with whom the family name is synonymous.
