Swindon Town have lost three in a row... but is it all that bad?
Opinion

We've become too comfortable expecting the bad times... togetherness will be key to success in the next 20 games

Part of this is about how Town fans have been conditioned over recent years. We are the Eeyores of League Two. Present us with a winning lottery ticket, and we’d question its authenticity.

Three defeats and four FA charges. That’s all it’s taken to turn Swindon Town upside down. Or has it?

Back-to-back losses against Salford City, last-minute agony at Bromley, and the lingering threat of being thrown out of the EFL Trophy have combined to create a fortnight of pain for Town, its executive management, playing staff and supporters.

But is it really that bad? Or are we over-reacting?

As Swindon head to Notts County on Tuesday night, it’s important to point out this is well short of a crisis. The team remains three points off second, with an infinitely winnable series of matches to come after the tough trip to Meadow Lane.
