In the 33rd minute of Swindon Town’s 3-0 win at Bristol Rovers, Aaron Drinan celebrated his fine finish by lapping up the howls of home fans, arms wide but standing well within the pitch’s perimeter. His celebration lasted for around 10 seconds. He was booked.
In the 11th minute of Salford City’s 4-3 victory over Colchester United, Kadeem Harris responded to his equaliser by standing arms crossed and chest pumped towards the travelling supporters, before making a gesture with his hands in their direction. The celebration covered nearly 10 seconds. He was not booked.
In the 47th minute of Crewe Alexandra’s 4-1 romp at Tranmere Rovers, Max Sanders scored and darted towards the home corner of Prenton Park, where even mascot Rover the Dog felt obliged to tell him to back off. The celebration lasted around 10 seconds. He was not booked.
In the third minute of the 1-1 draw between Walsall and Shrewsbury Town, Daniel Kanu reacted to his thumping opener by putting his finger over his mouth and running towards the Shrews’ supporters. He completed his celebration – entirely appropriately given the nature of the goal – with a jumping fist pump. The celebration lasted eight seconds. He was not booked.
