On Tuesday, Swindon Town announced they have nominated Botan Ameen for an EFL Apprentice of the Season award.
A long article on the club’s website included references from academy manager Mark Moss and under-18s lead Sean Wood, discussing the forward’s ability and attitude in glowing terms.
Recently, first-team manager Ian Holloway compared Ameen’s skillset to that of Ryan Giggs, following his match-changing contribution against Doncaster Rovers.
“He floats so beautifully with the ball and I believe that he could do it against anybody,” Holloway said.
