Botan Ameen’s contractual situation as Swindon Town is threatening to turn into a manufactured standoff, and if that happens it can’t possibly end well for anyone.
When Ian Holloway says he doesn’t feel a “big enough” club has come in for Ameen, he means it.
Thus far, The Moonraker understands there have been at least three formal approaches for the player – none have come from a Premier League club, despite several sending scouts to monitor his progress last term.
Norwich City and Sheffield United, of the Championship, are two. League One outfit Stockport County are believed to be another.
