If you love football, the first day of the new season offers so much: hope, fear, belief, doubt, confidence, anxiety and, perhaps most of all, relief.
Relief that the rude interruption of the summer has been navigated; Saturday routines can resume; lazy conversation-starters return; nature is healing.
