Fans' lack of trust in Swindon Town ownership threatens to stall any progress on County Ground redevelopment

It has become difficult for some supporters to believe that a club with this track record will make the right appointments, and set the right standards, for a project that will define their football-going experiences for the rest of their lives.

For the men at the top of Swindon Town, it must be hard to escape the feeling that nothing will ever be good enough for many of the club’s fans.

In one breath, they are being told their offering is no good.

They are quite rightly being slated for meagre catering options, for outdated décor, for insufficient facilities. They are constantly under fire for a matchday experience that has more in common with train station toilets than 21st-century sports stadia.
