Derby day at the Mem is a litmus test for Swindon Town's newfound strength of character under Ian Holloway

Swindon Town have not lost back-to-back matches for more than a year – since the miserable pair of defeats by Morecambe and Colchester United in the darkest depths of last winter.
Ian Holloway has achieved plenty in his 14 months at the club, but perhaps most prominent has been that shift towards a winning mentality.
It is not a concept which Town fans can easily get their heads around. Even during Ben Garner’s playoff miracle in 2021/22, Swindon went through difficult patches. Wellensball aside, the Robins have not found routine success since the era of Paolo Di Canio – in particular the romp through League Two in 2011/12.
