Will Wright remains a part of Ian Holloway's plans at Swindon Town, with the Robins boss insisting his recent roles as a substitute was simply an attempt to manage his workload.

Wright has played 2,162 minutes of first-team football for Town in 2024/25, considerably more than any other member of the squad.

Tunmise Sobowale, who sits second in that list, has 1,776 minutes under his belt. Gavin Kilkenny is not far behind on 1,713.

However, Wright has played at least 50 per cent more often than the majority of the squad, and three times more than both of Swindon's two other senior central defensive options: Grant Hall (720 minutes) and Ryan Delaney (694).
