Trust STFC remain “cautiously optimistic” the ownership at Swindon Town have affected change as a result of their open letter during the summer.
On May 15, the supporters’ group published the letter to Town majority shareholder Clem Morfuni, in which they called for significant investment, a redevelopment plan and transparency in communication.
"Alternatively, it is time for you to sell the club and find a new owner who can provide these things as soon as is practically possible," part of it read.
Exactly three months later, senior figures at the Trust have been encouraged by some activity behind the scenes – including an improvement in the quality of plans being put forward for stadium redevelopment, prompt payments to the County Ground joint venture, and clearer lines of communication between the fans’ organisation and senior figures at Town.
