Trust STFC make open call for prospective new owners of Swindon Town following meeting with Clem Morfuni

Morfuni has repeatedly said he would only listen to offers from suitors who could provide proof of funds for both the outright purchase and the continued operation of the football club. He is insistent that, as yet, he has not received such an approach.

Trust STFC have called for prospective new owners of Swindon Town to come forward.

Senior figures from the fan group met with Swindon majority shareholder Clem Morfuni and chief executive Anthony Hall on Wednesday (October 2).

In that meeting, the Trust confronted the pair with the stark reality of fan sentiment, and concern over the financial future of the club.

And, amid considerable supporter discontent, and with the men’s first team sitting two places above the relegation zone in League Two, the fan organisation’s board have now issued a statement urging potential investors to make themselves known.
