Swindon Town are keen on bringing Mansfield Town striker Tom Nichols to the County Ground, The Moonraker understands.

Nichols, 31, is something of a lower-league veteran, having spent the vast majority of his career in League One and League Two.

He moved to the Stags last year, but has struggled for a run of games in the starting XI.

The forward has made just 10 league starts at Mansfield, and has scored three times in 26 appearances at his current club. His contract at Field Mill is due to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
