Tom Nichols given all-clear to face MK Dons but Swindon Town have injury concern for one other senior player

During his pre-match press conference at Beversbrook on Tuesday (December 23), Ian Holloway mentioned that there remains a question mark over one senior figure. He did not wish to identify the player.

Tom Nichols will be fit to feature against MK Dons on Boxing Day, but Swindon Town are sweating over the fitness of another senior player.

Nichols had to be substituted late on in the victory over Crawley Town last weekend after suffering from cramp.

Despite the weight of work the midfielder has undertaken of late, the Town medical team expect him to be able to play a prominent role at Stadium MK - and he has been involved in training in preparation.

However, manager Ian Holloway is set to have a separate selection headache.
