Harley Hunt has joined Middlesbrough, in a move which is set to be worth nearly £500,000 up front to Swindon Town.

The 16-year-old centre-back has drawn admiring glances from sides across the top two divisions in England over the past year.

His influential role in Swindon's under-18s' run to the last eight of the FA Youth Cup combined with a breakthrough into the first-team squad in the latter weeks of the League Two campaign made him a hot property.

Middlesbrough have won the race for his signature, with Town accepting an offer from the Teeside club which will bring significant funds into the club over the coming years through payment instalments.
