Swindon Town defender Billy Kirkman faces up to two months on the sidelines after breaking his toe in the FA Cup victory over Rotherham United.
Kirkman had only just returned to the Town matchday squad after a separate and prolonged injury absence when he fractured his toe at the New York Stadium.
He played on through the pain initially but was substituted at half-time.
An X-ray has confirmed the extent of the damage, and the versatile player is now not expected to return to full training until early 2026.
