Ian Holloway has given a chance to one of his former players to win a short-term contract at Swindon Town.
Scott Malone, who worked with Holloway at Millwall, is spending two days training with Town this week as he looks to find a new club.
The 33-year-old has been without a contract since leaving Crawley Town in November.
Crawley paid Gillingham an undisclosed fee for his services over the summer, but he played just three times for the Sussex side before being released by mutual consent.
