Swindon Town are still hopeful of landing further recruits before their first competitive game of the weekend.
The Robins have brought in six new faces this summer, with a seventh - Kaelan Majekodunmi - expected to agree a full-time contract at the County Ground following a successful trial.
However, after a series of injuries during pre-season there is a need to reinforce further. And The Moonraker understands there is one specific part of the pitch being targeted ahead of the trip to Cardiff City on Saturday (August 8).
Town are in the market for midfielders, an area where more urgency has been sought following the broken ankle sustained by Gavin Kilkenny during the defeat of Leyton Orient in a friendly.
