Swindon Town saw off interest in their players during the January transfer window.
The Moonraker understands Exeter City contacted Town about a possible move for Will Wright in the final throes of the window, though the approach did not amount to a formal bid.
Wright has been one of the Robins’ most important players this season, following his switch from Crawley Town in the summer.
He has more goal involvements than anyone with the exception of Harry Smith, and has played nearly every minute of the League Two season – a crucial constant in a campaign littered with injuries to defenders.
