Swindon Town push on with efforts to bring in left-sided defender as summer transfer business continues

Swindon Town continue to focus on bulking out their defensive options as the summer transfer window meanders on.

The Robins have added four new signings to their roster so far, with the arrivals of Mitch Clark, Stephan Negru, Matty Virtue and James Debayo.

They have also seen a pursuit of winger Aaron Nemane fall short, with the Frenchman opting instead for a switch to Rotherham United following his release by MK Dons.

While an attacking player with width remains key to the summer recruitment plans, Swindon have recently been focused on another position.
