Swindon Town are currently working with the largest first-team playing budget of the Clem Morfuni era.
The Moonraker understands Swindon’s recruitment team has been operating on budgets of between £1.5million and £2m over the four seasons during which Morfuni has had the majority shareholding in the club.
Morfuni has confirmed to The Moonraker that, as a result of a late injection of extra capital into the coffers in the final two weeks of the transfer window, the 2024/25 pot is now larger than any of the previous three.
Swindon received a considerable six-figure sum up front for Harley Hunt, who joined Middlesbrough in July, and it appears that cash has been quickly redistributed to the playing budget.
