Swindon Town will look for another loan club for Tariq Uwakwe after the utility player returned from his stint at Maidenhead United.

Uwakwe, who was told he was surplus to requirements at Town during pre-season, has spent the past month in Berkshire but has struggled to make an impact.

The 24-year-old made just one league appearance, as an 85th-minute substitute during a home win over Ebbsfleet, and Maidenhead did not seek to extend his stay.

“I only found last night that Tariq would be training with us today,” Robins head coach Mark Kennedy said on Monday.
