Swindon Town's sense of nostalgia knows no bounds.

The Moonraker can confirm that Town have made an approach to Jack Payne about a potential return to the County Ground this summer.

Payne left for Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2022 after turning down a new contract at the Robins, but now once again finds himself a free agent.

Swindon are understood to have made their interest in the midfielder known several weeks ago, but the player has several options available to him, and is not expected to rush a decision.
