Swindon Town will retain the core of their 2025/26 goalkeeping department for the new season.

Senior town management and coaching staff met on Thursday (May 7) to flesh out a blueprint for their summer recruitment, starting with the imminent retained list.

And The Moonraker understands one option has already been taken up on an out-of-contract player.

Lewis Ward’s one-year extension has been triggered, keeping the stopper at the County Ground as Connor Ripley’s deputy for the 2026/27 campaign.
