Stevenage have won the race for the signature of free agent Dan Kemp.
Kemp, who spent five impactful months at Swindon Town last season, has signed a two-year contract in Hertfordshire.
Town had made overtures to the player's representatives about a possible permanent return to the County Ground earlier in the summer, but Swindon was always likely to be the less attractive option compared to a switch to League One.
And with Stevenage harbouring ambitions of promotion to the Championship in 2024/25, Kemp has turned down the Robins in favour of the club which two decades ago was the non-league upstart which sent second-tier Town crashing out of the FA Cup in a huge shock.
