Swindon Town are closing in on the loan signing of a teenage striker from a Championship club.

Manager Ian Holloway confirmed on Friday that he has a new target, after seeing Joe Westley choose to join Dundee – as first revealed by The Moonraker.

And that target is believed to currently be part of a development squad at a side in the second tier.

Holloway suggested that several other clubs have been looking to secure a deal for the forward in question, but The Moonraker understands a deal in principle has now been struck with the player’s parent club.
