Swindon Town are anticipating at least four more weeks without Ben Middlemas, while Joel McGregor's return has also been delayed.
Middlemas has seen a specialist for assessment on a knee problem sustained during the EFL Trophy home defeat by Crystal Palace.
The Moonraker understands an issue was identified relating to the cartilage in the knee in question, and the midfielder requires specific treatment to aid his recovery.
That will mean a minimum of a month on the sidelines, and there is the possibility the absence could be extended depending on his progress.
