Swindon Town have avoided serious sanction from the Football Association after being charged with fielding a player while banned.

Ollie Clarke’s appearance in the Vertu Trophy at Luton Town sparked an FA rap.

Clarke was not listed as ineligible on the governing body’s disciplinary portal, giving Swindon reason to believe he could feature.

Swindon have avoided any major penalty, following a regulatory commission hearing, however, despite both charges being found proven.
