Swindon Town are hamstrung again as Robins confirm Sam Inwood is out for three weeks with muscle strain

Inwood will miss the first League Two game of the campaign this weekend, and will likely not be seen for the rest of August, after suffering the problem during the EFL Cup defeat by Cardiff City.

The on-loan defender felt the issue during the first half in south Wales. He was substituted at half-time.

There is optimism in the Swindon ranks that the injury will not provide an ongoing problem for Inwood, who had no history of hamstring complaints when Town did the deal for his temporary transfer from Bolton Wanderers.
