Harry Smith has undergone successful surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament - the first step towards full recovery.

Smith tore his ACL during the home defeat by Barnet at the County Ground in August.

He is expected to spend as much as a year out of action.

Smith and Harrison Minturn both consulted with a London-based specialist over the nature of their similar injuries in August.
