Swindon Town have bolstered their defensive line with the signing of free agent Stephan Negru.
Negru, 23, will join the Robins next month following the expiration of his contract at Oxford United. He has agreed a two-year contract in Wiltshire.
The Moldovan international is seen by Swindon manager Ian Holloway as a versatile option who can cover for and complement Ryan Tafazolli at the heart of a defensive three.
Negru’s chances at Oxford have been limited in recent seasons, despite once being reportedly linked with Premier League interest.
