Sean Wood is to leave Swindon Town in June, bringing to an end an 18-year association with the club's development pathway.

Wood has risen up the ranks over the course of nearly two decades in coaching, having initially come into the setup part-time with the under-9s, and has had an influence on the development of hundreds of footballers.

Over recent seasons he has taken charge of the under-18s, leading them most notably on a special run to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup in 2023/24.

The Moonraker understands Wood is moving to a nearby EFL club, and his departure represents a considerable blow to Swindon's academy.
