Saidou Khan’s ongoing absence from first-team affairs would indicate an impending departure from Swindon Town, but that would require suitors to come forward.

Khan was not included in the Town squad for the opening League Two match of the season at Chesterfield on Friday (August 9), and was once again missing from the 18 at Crawley Town in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night (August 13).

The Gambian international is into the final year of his current deal at the County Ground, having signed from Chesterfield in 2022.

It is believed Town would be receptive to bids for Khan, given the situation with his contract and his place in the pecking order at Swindon.
