Alengthy away trip to a team a league above might not be the ideal FA Cup first-round draw for Swindon Town, but form and history both give cause for optimism.
Town will face Rotherham United in early November: a rare departure from the County Ground amid a parade of home fixtures.
Gut instinct may say that it is not a particularly kind outcome, particularly for a Robins fanbase which is craving a major cup event after four barren years.
