Swindon Town are set to revamp their scouting operation following the departure of former head of recruitment Les Caffery.

Caffery has left for a role at Manchester City after four years in post at the County Ground.

While Ian Holloway was disappointed to see him leave, Caffery’s exit has presented an opportunity for Swindon to provide their manager with a recruitment structure that better fits his needs and expectations.

Town have operated with minimal scouts for several years, and have at times become over reliant on staff members’ contacts within the football world.
