Swindon Town have been lumped with a £7,000 fine by the Football Association following the mass brawl that broke out after the 2-2 draw with Crawley Town.

Both the Robins and Crawley were hit with charges relating to a failure to control their players after the confrontation.

The clash is believed to have been prompted by goalkeeper Connor Ripley’s response to remarks by members of the opposition.

It ended with several players from each side involved in an ugly coming-together after the final whistle.
