Swindon Town are preparing to discovery their EFL Trophy fate, with the protracted ineligible player saga set to come to a conclusion on Wednesday.

The Robins face two EFL charges of fielding ineligible players during the victory at Luton Town in the last-16 of the competition on January 13.

Ollie Clarke featured in that match despite being hit with a seven-game ban encompassing all domestic football three weeks earlier, while Aaron Drinan came off the bench as a second-half substitute having not been named on the official teamsheet submitted to the matchday officials.

Despite the offences taking place more than three weeks ago, and with the next round of the EFL Trophy slated for next Tuesday (February 10), a final verdict is still outstanding.
