Four weeks ago, as the dust settled on Swindon Town’s dismal home defeat by Morecambe, three friends started furiously WhatsApping.
Dan Hunt, Terry Pierce and Rich Pullen had reached tipping point. They had become fed up of the way they feel their club is being run. They believed the majority of Town supporters feel the same way.
That evening, The Spirit of 69 – a fan protest movement – was conceived. Less than a month later, it is ready for its first physical action in its stated mission to get majority shareholder Clem Morfuni to put the club up for sale.
