Princewill Ehibhatiomhan set to get chance to impress in Aaron Drinan's absence as top goalscorer sits out three games

Ehibhatiomhan’s presence in the team likely means a slight twist in approach from Swindon. Where Drinan offers significant distance covered, at both ends of the field, the youngster is more effective with ball at feet, running at opponents.

Princewill Ehibhatiomhan will benefit from Aaron Drinan’s imminent three-game ban, with the on-loan striker getting a chance to impress up front for Swindon Town.

Drinan was handed a straight red card for violent conduct during the FA Cup first-round victory over Rotherham United last weekend, and will miss the League Two games against Tranmere Rovers, Fleetwood Town, and Grimsby Town.

The Irishman will be a considerable absence for Swindon, given his happy habit of goalscoring this term. In fact, no player other than Erling Haaland has managed more than Drinan’s 10 so far in 2025/26.

However, Town will have to make do without their in-form marksman, and that leaves the door open for a player who has failed to capitalise on impressive early performances in Wiltshire.
