Primary winger target opted for one of Swindon Town's League Two rivals over switch to the County Ground

EXCLUSIVE: Swindon’s playing budget, while competitive at around £3million, is around upper midtable among teams in League Two. That means the Robins are liable to be outbid on in-demand players.

Swindon Town missed out on one of their primary transfer targets to another League Two club.

The Robins have been in the market for a winger throughout the early weeks of the transfer window, and have made a pair of offers.

However, they have yet to secure a reinforcement in this area, and earlier this week saw one of the players they favoured move to a rival in the fourth tier.

The Moonraker understands Swindon retained an interest in Aaron Nemane right up until his decision to move to Rotherham United, and had put a contract offer to the Frenchman earlier in the summer.
