For first-time visitors to the County Ground this weekend, there’ll be a confusing sight.

On the pitch, a team all in red will take on a team in black and white. Yet, dotted around the stands will be hundreds and hundreds of orange hats.

If you are one of those SN1 debutants, fear not. You have not stumbled into a Dutch national match. Nor are you in the middle of a protestant march. No, orange is the adopted colour of revolt at Swindon Town.

Its origins come from 2006, another period of melancholy and mutiny at Town.
