Ollie Clarke will sit out the EFL Trophy trip to Wycombe Wanderers after complaining of a tight calf.

The Swindon Town captain made a return to the starting XI on Saturday (December 7), following three weeks out with an ankle problem.

Clarke was instrumental in Swindon's 3-1 victory over Fleetwood Town but his comeback - which came a week ahead of time and with just two days of full training behind him - has taken a minor toll.

The midfielder may well have found himself rotated out of the side for the knockout clash at Wycombe, given the weight of fixtures facing the Robins in December.
