Swindon Town fans have complained about spoiled Easter plans after the Robins’ trip to Cambridge United was moved for TV.

Town were due to visit the Abbey Stadium on Good Friday (April 3) for a 3pm kickoff, with a substantial travelling attendance expected for the clash between two League Two promotion-chasers.

However, on Wednesday (March 4), the fixture was announced as having been selected for live broadcast by Sky Sports on its main football channel.

That means it has been shifted from its bank holiday afternoon slot to an 8pm kickoff the evening before (April 2).
