Miguel Freckleton has returned to first-team training at Swindon Town, as the defender's reintegration steps up a notch.

At the end of last year, Freckleton was told he was surplus to requirements at the County Ground after a difficult first taste of life in the EFL.

Having arrived on a season-long loan from Sheffield United, he was picked out for criticism by supporters following a series of unconvincing performances.

The 21-year-old was visibly upset leaving the field following the 2-1 defeat at Port Vale in September, having been subjected to abuse by some in the crowd. He had made an error which directly resulted in a goal.
