Michael Olakigbe turned down a lucrative move to Brazil to remain with Swindon Town.

Olakigbe joined Town on loan from Brentford earlier in the January transfer window, but was the subject of a substantial offer from a team in Brazil within days of arriving in Wiltshire.

The winger’s parent club were ready to part with the player, but personal terms still needed to be met.

Despite a generous salary package being offered, which would have significantly increased his existing pay, and an option to help relocate his family, Olakigbe opted against the switch.
